I know I'm being That Guy, but the ending to Twin Peaks wasn't by any means what they originally intended to do-- it was the tv execs that forced their hand on revealing Laura Palmer's killer, so when they had to reveal mid-season, they were left scrambling for where the story should go. I don't blame them for it, though I admit I'm wary about where the new season is going to go with it.
