Two months later: Jupiter Ascending, a movie about a white girl, gets even worse reviews.
Tumblr: "If this movie had been about a white guy, critics would love it!"
Not a secret because there's nothing more to say here, just shaking my head once again at the social justice side of tumblr's hypocrisy and treatment of "if" statements as universal truths.

I don't know about that, because (without seeing it, admittedly) I think the closest parallel sounds like the male-led Winter's Tale; both tap into that "cracked out middle school OC daydream brought to the big screen" sensation. And I think JA is going to wind up doing way better than WT, despite having the female lead.
