My coworker was really sad they didn't show any penis in the movie. :( She also enjoyed the book better. And yeah, she considers it as much fantasy as Twilight or Hunger Games.

Even though I don't actually like these books, it does bug me that in a movie aimed for women based on a book aimed for women there is still more female skin than male.

Because women don't want to see penis, they want to see naked women!

Some women, yes. But I doubt that most women who only want to see naked women are going to see an erotic movie about a straight couple.

It is more likely that they couldn't show more male nudity because of the stupid rating system that rates male nudity higher than female. That and the general male gaziness of hollywood.

I'm perfectly happy with female nudity, I'd just like to see just as much male nudity. Lots and lots of naked skin for everyone.

(Sorry I was mostly just dicking around there :P).

But! To respond to you properly I agree with you. Hollywood is stupidly crazy about male nudity, it's dumb and if I was going to go see a film with a lot of sex in it I'd want there to be as much male nudity as female.

There never is though. Boooo.

It is depressing. Especially considering that this was a movie aimed at women. If you can't even get male nudity in a movie that is supposedly for women (and therefore the general fear of scaring men off shouldn't be an issue).

IIRC the main actor also has a contract saying he didn't have to be fully naked, so there's that too.

Finding out it was contractual that no penis would be shown was when I first knew this movie would be shit regardless of my personal bias towards it.
