What are your guilty pleasure movies, books, cartoons, music - you name it?
The things you know are objectively awful but you just can't help but love? The things you make an exception for in a genre you generally hate? The things that are "supposed" to just get liked ~ironically~ which you totally unironically adore?

The Patriot. Mostly for Jason Isaacs. It used to be my go-to crappy day movie. That has changed to LOTR, but I still watch it sometimes.

Pompeii. Partly for Kit, partly for the volcano, partly just for the campy fun.

I have just recently rediscovered my love for "G.I.Joe: Retaliation". This movie is tacky as shit and nothing makes sense but I still find it incredibly entertaining in all its cheesy, pathos-filled glory. (I'll also admit that Lee Byung-Hun is one of the main reasons I like the movie so much, him and the making-off clips where you could see the people involved in the movie had a real blast with it.)

I really hate the first movie and I don't even have any nostalgia-reasoning to fall back on (not American means I never heard of those toys/cartoons before) but I can't say I care haha!
(Still, why is it always poor, poor London? Oh right, because they already wrecked Paris in the first movie...)

I guess Supernatural? The internet seems to be really into bashing the show and people who still enjoy it so I don't talk about it very often.

Yaoi and yuri manga. (For some reason I consider yaoi more "guilty pleasure tier" though.) Slash fiction.

For the longest time, Project Runway. Finally gave it up in Season Ten.

Not even BNFs Tom and Lorenzo could keep their enthusiasm up.

And then music-wise, I've mentioned this before, but Rebecca Black's Friday. At first I loved it ironically, and then I ended up just plain loving it.

I guess Iggy Azalea. I've been into her music for almost 4 years but I have to pretend I don't like her or enjoy some of her stuff "ironically" because... well, God forbid you say you like her these days, you might as well admit to being a Nazi.

I was really into the various Flavor of Love/I Love New York shows. Like, I definitely watched every new ep when they came out and stanned hard for New York. I still kind of do.

Also was into Jersey Shore despite all the drama, but stopped after the season in Florence. Lost my appetite for the trashier MTV reality shows.

Conan the Barbarian

A lot of old TV shows and sci-fi books where I have to make disclaimers like 'ignore the constant sexism, it's from the 60s' when explaining them to people. Not even in a tumblr sort of way, but in a 'ignore the part where the lead doctor, in complete seriousness, tells the nurse/love interest not to worry her pretty little head' sort of way.

(The Sector General stories by James White are utterly fascinating from a world building standpoint, but they are amazingly sexist, at least in the early stories. I honestly did not realise that that particular phrase had ever been said with a straight face until these stories, but apparently so).

I love them all to bits, but explaining them to people can get awkward at times.

Storage Hunters(US version). It's like so damn stupid and the tension~ is so forced but I love watching it, mostly because I want to see what's in the storage bins.

i hate myself for keeping track of cw's the originals.

I still watch Family Guy, usually because I'm waiting for Bob's Burgers to come on. I laugh but I don't really care about the show tbh.

Big Brother (US). It's so bad, and I hate most of the fan favourites, and the cast is always so cookie-cutter, but I love it. BB Canada is also good, but that's only because it hasn't had enough seasons for me to hate particular ones.

Fan fiction in general is a guilty pleasure.

Teen Wolf, because it's just so genuinely fun even when it's bad.

On a website called The Overflowing Bra, there is a story series called The New Girl. It's terribly, terribly written, but it's also so happy! It's so rare to find an orgy series where all the participants enthusiastically consent to sex, and I'm so sick of creepy rape tropes that I'll take what I can get.
