I don't know why people are trying to talk you out of this. You didn't say it's bad when this happens, just that you don't want to see it. Everyone is allowed to decide that they just don't want to deal with certain things in stories. No wonder so many people around here think SJWs are everywhere if they interpret "I don't like this" as "this should never happen or the creators are terrible".

Not to mention that there are a lot of clichés that anyone might not care to have in their fiction, as a matter of personal taste.

I'm not fond of the 'zombies overrun quiet country town' plot device because it's been done over and over, but that doesn't mean I have a moral objection to the undead.

Seriously. It's kinda crazy that everyone here seems to think that just talking about a social issue or not liking/ liking something lgbt or feminism related automatically equals crazy unreasonable wacky SJW!!!
Like lol you guys need to grow up.

I remember way back, someone made a secret saying that they didn't want to watch GOT because it apparently had lots of rape in it, and that make the secret maker uncomfortable.
Like, 60-70% of the comments were just GOT fans trying to convince OP to watch it anyways, or saying she was stupid and overreacting and a SJW and the reason why television as an art form was dying. (and yes I am dead serious, I really wish I was making this up.)

I find it kinda funny that everyone in this forum will whine till' the cows come home about the eviiil SJWs, but will have no problem berating and yelling at people who dare to have a preference.

And we are allowed to laugh at them for being dumb. That's like the whole point of this community.

And I'm allowed to think the people acting like this is worse than any other preference are being silly. And then you can think I'm silly too. It's a never-ending chain of people being allowed to react however they want. :)

IDK. I accept and agree with your point. At the same time, while I accept their right to like or dislike what they want, I think that particular criterion is dumb. I don't expect to convince them to change their mind, I just find it dumb.

IDK man.

That's fair. I agree with what everyone is saying about it depending on the specifics for me, I just think they're trying to turn the OP's emotional response into an objective argument. But this is something that frustrates me a lot, like when people don't separate "liked/disliked" and "good/bad".
