Only if I feel queer characters are being specifically targeted is it an auto-quit for me. If the show is balanced about who they off and one of them happens to be queer, that's another thing entirely.

People using 'bury your gays' for something like Torchwood where 3/4 of the damn cast dies is a bit silly. It's not relevant there. Same goes for other shows that constantly kill characters; unless queer characters are killed at a disproportionate level or no queer characters are left living at the end of the work.

But otherwise yes this is an awful trope that needs to stop.
