TBH I think he's a fine character but I never had the same love of him that the rest of fandom seems to. He's a comfortable 4th on my character affection power ranking for that show. But the love is universal in fandom at large.

Still, though, this is a really cute secret anyway.

I agree with this. Although, I'd actually say he's probably my least favorite. He's okay, but he's just so boring.

He's, like, the character that I like the most that I don't actively love. Maybe tied with Rossi. I agree that he's kind of bland but he's also just kind of quirky and lovable at the same time.

Haven't watched CM in ages but I agree. I often find myself not particularly caring for the fandom darlings. If everyone else is gushing over them, I don't feel the need to do that.

I agree. He's fine but not one of my faves. By all accounts he SHOULD be my favorite because I like the brainy/goofy/eccentric/cute/clueless/awkward characters in ensemble shows like this. But, I don't think he's that good looking (not bad but not hot at all) and his character doesn't do a thing for me. Ditto Penelope. She's okay (although she tests my patience at times) but not this amazing diva I see in fandom some times.

Hotch is #1 for me, hands down. He's definitely my fandom bicycle. Love Hotch!

Hotch is definitely my favourite, too! Although I did get into the show because of Reid. You could say, I started because of Reid, but stayed for Hotch. And as long as he's still on the show, I'll keep watching.

ETA: And yeah, Hotch is my LBD character in CM fandom, too. I ship him with pretty much everyone.

I only watch this show when my sister turns on one of its endless reruns, so I don't really have an actual informed opinion about this show other than that I can't stand that particular guy.
