I like Ward as the slimy git that he is but I don't like him as a person if that makes sense? Also he is so not my favourite, that would have been Tripp. >:|

I like people like you that think that way. You recognize that he's a shit head but you like him that way as villain.

It's when people in fandom apologists start woobifying and excusing his actions is where I draw the line.

Er, 'it's when fandom apologists', is what I meant. Dunno where those extra words came from.

Oh man I can't understand excusing Ward's actions, like they were all shitty and done purely for his own selfish reasons. I'm kind of glad I don't hang out in AoS spaces to see that because it would annoy me as well.

And his fixation on Skye is not romantic at all, it is creepy-possessive. I say that as someone who loathes Skye too, just throw her out the plane someone, but the way some of the fans really say that Ward's fixation on her is a romantic redemption of him just creeps me the hell out.

His fixation on Skye is flat out skeevy and I'm glad that so far they have not been showing it as romantic, cute or twu wuv, he's nuts and unfortunately for Skye, picked her to obsess over.

(Awwww I like Skye, but to each their own :P).

Yeah, same here. I like what they did with his character because Ward as a slimy git is way more interesting than Blandy McBlanderson we had before. But I hope so hard he doesn't get really redeemed, because boy is he an awful person. I like him as an asshole, though.

The villain reveal was great because he suddenly got 1000x more interesting than what we had, and imo the other characters got to really shine as well.

A redemption story might have worked if he showed any remorse for his actions, but as it is he's just making excuses for himself and doing the equivalent of a 'well I'm sorry you were offended' apology(YOU TRIED TO KILL YOUR FRIENDS WARD). Which I don't mind tbh because a flat out evil-git is fun to watch.

(I live in hope that they wont ass-pull a redemption for him, he's good as a bad-guy, keep him that way).
