On the topic of money problems, it's very strange how in the series rich characters all get a completely disproportionate amount of screen time but are often the most poorly written and developed characters. Bringing up "classism" feels over the top, but I genuinely think the narrative is biased towards them for... a reason. Varrick and Suyin are the most fleshed out, which I guess is reason enough for them to not go to prison for doing the shit they do. Maybe the writers think being rich makes you automatically interesting?

Karma in Legend of Korra is fucked up and makes no sense, I'll add that to my list of "whys".
