I don't know if you can call him a "supremacist" when he seems to be caught up on a past that is so past that we don't even know what all races existed and in what forms. He clearly finds there is a lot left to be desired in every culture in modern Thedas, including elven culture. The dwarves used to be something better, the elves were something better. The qunari???? And he doesn't really go that hard against humans, aside from correctly pointing out how much Tevinter has benefited from ransacking and re-appropriating ancient elven culture and how humans tend to be brutish (which, given what we know about how elves are treated by humans, is a fair assessment).

I mean, I find the "racist grandpa" thing to be a little too soft considering how shitty he can be towards those around him, but I feel like he exists in between that and being baldly supremacist.

Yeah, I think he's more way too wrapped up in a golden past that only exists in his memory than a supremacist. He really looks down on his own race as it is nowadays.

That's basically how real world supremacists feel though, isn't it?

Hmm, in a way, yes. They often want to restore a golden age. But they usually have a group of people that they consider true members, right? The ones responsible to restore things. It's not one guy looking down on everyone. Yeah, you can say he thinks the elves of thousands of years ago are superior but since they don't exist anymore and he sees no one today as their heirs, it's a bit weird to say he's a supremacist about an extinct people.
