25. Agreed! I was just thinking about this recently. Snidely worded "disclaimers" like that just irritate me on artists' behalfs. (edit: apparently this is an unpopular opinion. I didn't realize there was actual wank on this topic, huh)
39. I admire those who do that, those who are comfortable being themselves online. Yet, for me and many others, the internet can be a nice fantasy place to be anonymous and pretend you're cooler than in real life.

36. Franziska is hot. Sure her clothes are pretty insane, but that's the von Karma way, just look at what her father wears, and what Edgeworth wears back when he's younger. But you can't say that she's not pretty, take a look at her in game sprites. It's an aristocratic elegance.

While I'm not saying that icon-maker's rules can be worded better (that did come off as quiet callous), I never really understood the hypocrisy of the whole thing; what's the difference between iconmakers using official art and fanart? In a way, both times artwork is being used to create new forms of "artwork" (because yes, some people consider icons a form of graphic art; I'm not saying I'm one of them, but I digress), not to mention the fanartists are using the original artwork to create their own, which kind of mirrors the dilemma between the icon maker and fanartist I believe. The thing is, I understand fanartists might be upset of the ways their work is being used, but the fact of the matter is, it seems hypocritical just to "respect" the fanartists and not using their artwork without permission while turning a blind eye to the original artist, if that makes any sense. Sure, it's common courtesy in the end, but again, icons and fanart aren't taken that serious to most.

39. This is why I usually use icons made from stock photos. It's a little harder to find people that look similar, but at least I don't have a Vogue cover for an average joe.

HELL YES FFXII. I am so fucking obsessed with that game. Though I've abandoned it after getting smashed by Yiazmat like, 382193021832 times.

I'm sort of interested by the sense of entitlement to this one.

I have a huge flist. People friend me, I presume, for my fic. I don't see that it is a requirement that I then read every post and have a comment. I know someone else on my flist who has twice the number of friends I do, and she seems to comment on every post, but her comments are all formulaic, and I'd actually rather she only commented when she had something substantive to say. When I get emails alerting me to her comment, I tend to almost verbatim recite what I'm going to find when I click.

Mine got lost too I think. I didn't see it as a broken link either? Maybe they're going out of order and it will show up later.

(You can tell how worried I am people will know I have a secret... XD But it's not about anything I'm known to be in.)
