Did they not kiss in that one? I thought they did but it's been awhile. I know there are a couple yuri that do have kissing. Kanazuki no Miko and Simoun come to mind.

I agree there is certainly a lot of MALE queerbaiting in non BL genre stuff. In my experience, female characters are more likely to kiss in non GL (mainstream?) stuff than guys.

But I also think it should be noted that characters in Japanese media also kiss less often than characters in Western media. Even "canon" couples usually might only kiss once in an entire series, if at all.

nope. yumi and sachiko never kiss in the entire series. but sachiko is constantly touching yumi whenever she can. if you play, "take a shot of ___ whenever sachiko touches yumi", you'd be crazy drunk after 15 minutes.
