To be clear, what I'm trying to say is that I don't think very many Western shows actually queerbait. Merlin arguably did, and that weird Atlantis show that tried to rip off Merlin definitely did, and I've seen the case made for Supernatural, but most of it's just people latching onto SJ to bitch at the show's creators for not making their ship canon.
