Oh wow, that's absolutely lovely of you :))

The truth is, as I kind of said to Sarillia - I'm not quite ready to publish yet, it's just something I've been kicking around in my head. I made that comment more to point out to that anon that some people also struggle with the 'making it happen' part, and not just 'getting it written'.
atm I'm mostly focused on my thesis, so big writing projects will have to wait a bit longer.

I do do both comics and prose. The comics I figured I'd go for the webcomic route, because I doubt I'd find a publisher that would really let me do what I want, or that the genre would fit. It's the prose I'll be wanting to publish...
So regrettably, since everybody's being so helpful, it looks like I'll have to take a raincheck on the publishing help >_< if you're still around when I'm done with my thesis, I will be happy to have this discussion again, though!

Either way, thank you so much for the offer of help <3<3

Oop, I missed that, my mistake. Fair enough; you have a raincheck on publisher stuff, I have a raincheck on world-building stuff! *laughs*

And yeah, totally hear you on the 'I have the product, NOW WHAT' thing. A lot of people act like once you have a completed product, it'll just... sell itself. If only!

Yes! My situation is also a bit different in that I'm looking at an academic career - probably any fiction I publish will be on the side, so I can't really go the "write. write more. line up 10 manuscripts" route, because atm I need to be lining up my papers and abstracts.
Another difficulty is that over here, it's very difficult for authors to make a living... which is terrible and regrettable, but a fact of life.

Good luck to both of us!

Ah, yeah, academia is a different bag. I hope Israel treats its academics better than we do! But yeah, making a living as any sort of art person seems hard as hell. Eesh.

Also, honestly, I think the, "write, write more" trick is... overrated? That's not the right word. An oversimplification, maybe. I could prattle on how I find it kinda alarming how artists are encouraged to not have a life over their work, and overwork treated as proof of devotion. Skeeves me out.
