Nah, this is actually pretty normal - we've been waiting for it to get cold for MONTHS at least it's happening now. Where I live is just a more temperate area, so when it's cold it hails - unlike anywhere with a bit more altitude, where they can get actual snow.
We've actually been all excited about the hail XD it hasn't been around long enough to get old, see.

I actually don't know much about the climate in Israel but I'd assume based on its location and proximity to other desert nations that it's pretty hot most of the time?
