My friend's wife. She also decided to take dairy, wheat, and eggs out of her child's diet on the advice of her chiropractor and didn't bother to learn how to make "not rice crackers and peanut butter" replacement food, and then was shocked when the kid was malnourished.

That's kind of messed up. A chiropractor isn't even a real doctor and they sure as hell aren't trained dietitians.
