I really don't get why the fandom sees her as the wonderful thing they do. I found her about as interesting as a piece of paper towel.

Me too, but fandom clinging to the dullest characters is the new thing apparently.

It's very bizarre. All the meta on her go on about her skills, her hardships(?) but it feels like in four seasons she doesn't have a distinct personality to like or dislike.

It's sad, because like 99% of LOK, Asami was wasted potential. So much could've been done with her but the creators had no idea what to actually DO with her. And so people have to fill in the blanks to try and make such a boring ass character interesting.
