I think it's a difference between book-fen and show-fen. Like Game of Thrones people who are mainly interested in the books are like "Eww, Jorah Mormont," whereas show people are like "HELL yes you charming bastard, I ship it so hard". Graham McTavish is a sexy sexy Scottish man-bear with a sexy Scottish beard and a sexy Scottish voice, and wanting to see more of him in a romantic context is totally reasonable in my book.

Seconding the Graham McTavish love. He is a joy to watch and is perfectly cast.

Have you ever read his twitter feed? That man brightens my day.

I will third it. Dwalin is cool and I almost squealed when I found out he voice Arl Eamon Guerrin.

Nah. I've read all the books and Jorah Mormont in those is by far superior to the show version. He's one of my favorite characters in the books.

He's certainly much more interesting than the actual love interest. And acts better too.

Haha, yeah. I remember when I first read the books, I was like JORAH, NO. And now that I've become more of a show fan, I'm like "Y HALO THAR IAIN GLEN."

Of course, I also first read the books about eight years ago, so there's the aging factor involved.

In the books, I find Duncan kinda repulsive, but in the show, JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL.

LOL, that was almost exactly my reaction to show Jorah vs. book Jorah. I thought he was so attractive in the show and shipped him and Dany, then read the books and was like "...No." I haven't watched the show since S2 but as hot as he was and had chemistry with Dany, the books made me not ship them.

But Iain can get it.
