Really? What genre are you asking for where people ONLY rec Neil Gaiman, though?

DA, but I get it all the time when I mention I like Terry Prachett and looking for books like his. Which is doubly odd since having read some of both, I don't think their writing is all that similar. I guess they get confused by Good Omens, or maybe by the fact that the two are clearly friends and that Gaiman has a lot of respect for Prachett.

That must be it, because I don't think their writing is very much alike, either. The problem with looking for more books like Pratchett is that Pratchett's a pretty unique writer. I'd say the closest in style/theme is Douglas Adams, but of course that's sci fi and not fantasy.
