To be perfectly fair to Sharon, there's a difference between being attracted to someone and having intentions to do anything about it.

I could easily see her being attracted to Steve because he's a good-looking, great guy. But she'd probably be very conflicted about it and not want to actually pursue it out of respect for her aunt. Never mind possible work-related conflicts. And it's been awhile since I've seen TWS, but is there any real indication that she is attracted to him? She turns him down when he asks her out. Yes, she implies that maybe he can ask another time. But she's playing the part of the approachable but maybe not attainable neighbor. He needs to be able to like and trust her without getting too close.

The creepiest thing about it to me is how people push for it in-universe. Steve has no idea who she is, and Sharon may or may not even have feelings for him, but everyone pushing it KNOWS, and that's so weird. If they wanted Steve to have a fun, beneficial relationship, why push for one with guaranteed baggage and complications for both people? It really does seem like they encourage it because "Peggy 2.0," which is massively disrespectful to both Peggy and Sharon.
