I don't think asking about the dress is inappropriate, since a lot of the Oscars... okay, and the film industry in general... is all about presentation.

But ridiculous makeup questions or "what did you do to get ready for today" nonsense, shut up.

They also should be asked the same sorts of questions the guys are being asked. Yeah, I get it, a lot of the suits look alike, but if the guys are being asked about their work, the women should, too.

+1 and the manicam sucks. Identify the polish, sure. But I kinda feel bad for women who show age in their hands-- I certainly do, and would feel uncomfortable shoving them in a box with HD cameras for an extreme closeup!
