I just imagine this scenario: I'm ripped out of time and end up in the future where my boyfriend not only has moved on but is now old and dying. I'm totally heartbroken but hey, here's a hot guy! Then I find out he's my dying love's nephew...

Would *you* be into that? I feel like on an individual basis it could happen but these are characters in a story. I'd be very uncomfortable reading that story.

For me, it would be unthinkable. I mean, I'm in love with this guy right now, so to find out he's dying would put me in a mourning, emotionally unavailable state for a long time after his passing, let alone while he's still alive. And even when I'm ready to move on, I'd want to find someone wholly unconnected to my old relationship. I don't need that punch in the guts every time I look at the new person.
