The whole KStew and RPats fallout had me tinhatting it pretty hard.

Their relationship was basically just there to sell the Twilight movie series and what better way to make it fall apart and go away? A cheating scandal. It's easier for the woman to take the fall in the media, so KStew is caught cheating, there's fallout, and the relationship that was basically one big promo for the movies crumbles away.

I don't usually think like this at all, so I have no idea where it came from.

Honestly, this theory always seemed plausible to me.
