This is the opposite of yesterday's thread, the death that wrecked you. Sometimes, the villain has to go. Who was it and how loudly did you cheer?

In the original 'House of Cards' TV series I cheered SO DAMN HARD when he fell.

The most recent finale of Orange is the New Black. So cathartic.

God, yes. I screamed I was so happy.

Foyet on Criminal Minds.

The Governor in The Walking Dead. I thought it was a letdown how it happened but I was really glad when it did.

God, yea. Gov had worn out his welcome about ten times over by the time he died. It could've been a more satisfying death, but idec by that point. (I still feel his solo episodes were some of the worst WD episodes ever.)

It wasn't fatal but Skye shooting Ward in the back in AoS, I cheered.

And for an actual death the Emperor in the original Star Wars trilogy.

It wasn't a death, but I cheered hardest for Azula's breakdown defeat.

That was one of my favorite parts of the series. It was so well done.

I've been sporadically reading Transformers MTMTE lately, and I kind of yes'd when a particular character on Luna 1 gets shot in the face. Because fuck that guy.

Also, in Prime, I liked that Disney-style ending for the series/season finale.

OH and in Bourne Supremacy, I loved the way it went down.

I was so fucking happy when Bill on Big Love got killed. I swear I wished for it to happen every season and it was so damn satisfying to see it. I guess he's not a villain in the most traditional sense but he was so toxic to his wives and such an ass.

A lot of my "yes they are dead" examples are people I find more annoying then an outright villain. I like villains sometimes.

Oh dang, Big Love. I used to be so into that show. It really did feel good when Bill died because of what you said -- he was so toxic to his wives. I was so done with him by the end.

He was great, but he's gotta go.

My dpt head just recently got into Game of Thrones and when she encountered the Purple Wedding, she came up to me the following week and was like, "Whenever I felt down, I just remembered Joffrey's dead."

My husband doesn't even like GoT and he still wanted to watch Joffrey snuff it.

Joffrey. Of course he was engineered to be a vile little shit and everyone longed for him to bite it (and the scene was pretty great) but now I miss him being there each week to hate on. Plus Jack Gleeson was a cool guy and a good actor and deserved a few more seasons' worth of that sweet HBO loot.

A recent one was Ricardo Gavarni from Coffin Princess Chaika. Imagine an anime version of Prince Joffrey.

Cutler Beckett in PotC was pretty satisfying. Kind of awesome too, with the slow-motion tracking shot as the ship gently explodes around him.

Batiatus in Spartacus: Blood and Sand. It was so satisfying.

In a twist, I'm pretty sure when Ramsay dies in ASOIAF/GOT that I'm going to simultaneously be sobbing and yet so relieved. It's hard loving such a villain.

Vee in OitNB, Shane in TWD, Tywin, The Gravedigger on Bones, same with the hacker dude before I stopped watching, though there have been some vilians or "anti heroes" who I wished bit the bucket (Umbridge and Sasuke to name a few...).
