Ugh. My family guilt trips me all the time about going back home to see them. But I really dislike going back home (plus yeah, money is an issue). They have NEVER come to visit me!

Yes. Omg, this particular family have been on three or four expensive holidays in the last year, too. To islands and resorts, but they never even thought about visiting us - and they wouldn't have had to pay for a hotel. If I brought it up they would be offended, and I don't want drama. I do wish they would come to the realisation without help.

They've been giving me a lot of grief over my life choices over the phone lately, too. So I'm not excited about hearing it again in person.

At least I don't have to go shopping though! Good luck with that.
Sometimes I stand in the change rooms and pretend to try on things I know I'm going to hate just to make my friends happy.

Yeah, I invite them up all the time too. They just won't come. :(

That sucks :(

They seem to think that visiting them is like a holiday for me and I should be excited about unpaid babysitting.

For $100 extra I could fly to New Zealand and look at pretty mountains.
