Case, I want to preface this I don't want to attract wank by bringing this up. I really hope that any other persons commenting here react respectfully!

I was looking at F!S's community profile yesterday and was struck by part of it:
6. Anonymous comments on secret posts are allowed and IP addresses will not be logged, but personal attacks will not be tolerated. If you make a secret saying that Harry Potter fans annoy you, that's fine. If you make one naming a specific author in Harry Potter fandom and ripping into her as a person, that is not fine. If a user is caught making this kind of attack, a warning will be issued once. Upon a second incident, the user will be permanently banned.

Okay, that makes sense. But that's not actually what happens here. 1.) Perhaps this should be rephrased to reflect that IP logging is not usually on. And 2.) Why the hell aren't there warnings and bans for our persistent troublemakers? Specifically the ones who go after named users in the worst way, but just in general.

I just wish that either you followed the ground rules stated in your own policy, or you rewrote your rules on the profile page to reflect what actually takes place here. Because it is inconsistent. The profile IS very out of date-- NONE of the linked affiliate communities have had any activity since 2011 or before (2008-9 for most), many with mods with deleted journals, etc.

I guess you can delete/freeze/ignore this as you see fit.

Tumblr ruined this movie for me. The whole fandom is dedicated either to writing Stucky porn or creating the saddest possible meta they can imagine. Now all I can see when I watch the movie is layers upon layers of Saddest Steve.

It was the best movie of Phase 2 and as close to a Black Widow movie as we’re going to get, and now it’s unwatchable. Thanks a lot, jerks.

I never understood the het shippers who were obsessed with canon validation (Zutarans, Harmonians, etc.) until I actually shipped a het pairing myself.

M/M or F/F shippers in the popular fandoms know (mostly) that their pairing will never be canon. They might hope that it will be canon, but they know it won't be. Aside from ship wars, nobody cares.

Het pairings? As long as it's not taboo for some reason, any het pairing can be argued for and could become canon without alienating the audience. There's always that chance that you'll actually see your OTP happen, if only you love it hard enough.

I get it.

…and so, as a result, I'm sticking to M/M and F/F pairings from now on. They're much less stressful.

I'm tired of arguments about representation in media, but I'm also tired of people who say "I don't care about representation, I just want a good story with well written characters" like they're being super edgy/original saying this out loud.

NEWSFLASH: Nobody's saying they'll be satisfied with crappy stories as long as they contain diverse characters. We all want goo stories with well written characters, it's just that some of us want our stories with well written characters to be something besides 100% straight, able-bodied white people.

I prefer to think of them as biromantic rather than bisexual, because I’m biromantic but heterosexual, and I wish so much that I could be in a romantic relationship with a woman.

Secret because they are obviously intended to be bisexual and if I ever said this I’d be eviscerated as a homophobe who wants to take representation away from a marginalized group.

I gave up on defending homestuck for its art when the same people who lauded Hussie's expressiveness and color combos on tumblr shat all over KC Green's paradox space comics.

People who hate on this show clearly haven’t seen any of the last three seasons. The writers finally realized that vague nerd jokes and misogyny were run through, so they switched to genuine character development and forward movement. It’s basically Friends now. But yeah, try to get anyone to believe this. Ha. Hahaha. The hate is too strong.

I haven't seen anyone suggest that Becca offended Lolly by telling her she needed to get her shit together, which I think is likely.

I think there's foreshadowing to support that theory. But I do agree that there's foreshadowing for unrequited Becca/Lolly as well.

OP Note: I made this secret a few weeks ago, and given tonight's preview, it looks like it's leading the viewer to assume their blowout was over a boy instead. How trite. How boring, if true.
