well for me as somebody from the one of the tiniest minorities to ever minor I don't feel it with the same ~urgency~ that everybody else seems to. I mean I won't get represented either way, so I don't really know what to say.
Yes, theoretically I am all for more diversity but personally my heart is not very moved by the whole business.
"I don't care" for me means I do not get emotionally worked up about it. My heart does not clench, I do not cry, I will not rejoice. I support more diversity as an ideal, but I do not "care" about it.

I mean, correct me if I'm interpreting you wrong, but you're saying less that you don't care, and more that being active about or spending energy for your own representation won't be a gain for you, which again is about priorities, and while that's still not neutral, it isn't something I have a problem with.

Would you care if you could get represented by caring?

Edit: You're also seem to be saying that you don't care about other people's representation, and you and I both know that's not neutral right? Although I'm less sanguine about that type of "do I got mine?" prioritization, I'm not necessarily going to hate on minorities for it.

Second Edit: But frankly, if you're the "majority" in any oppression, and most of us are in something, then you know very well you benefit from not "caring" about others. Also not neutral.

I have no idea if I would care, because I can't even imagine that situation. It would literally never happen in mainstream media, or even non-mainstream, in any major country.

There's no point in getting worked up about my own representation because it won't happen, and I don't really get worked up over everybody else's because I mean, why should I become emotionally invested in whether or not some minority on the other side of the world appears in some media made by people in another country? It's so far from my life and my reality that it's hard for me to become emotionally invested in it.
In general I support diversity in media, I'm glad when it happens.
But it's difficult for me to really care.
