No, it's not just you, and it's actually bothering me how many people are making fun of it or saying it doesn't exist. I'm sure some are just trying to start wank but there are so many that they can't all be trolls. It seems contradictory to what seemed to be the general consensus when this subject has been discussed here in the past, too.

And no, I'm not a biromantic heterosexual, but I am some variety of asexual, haven't figured the romantic part out yet, and it's bugging me that people are dismissing the concept that romance can be separate from sex and that romance without sex is still different from friendship. Maybe for them sex is always a part of romance, and there's nothing wrong with that, but it isn't like that for everyone, and just making blanket statements about something this complicated and subjective annoys me.
