Re: Am I the only one here who believes biromantic is a thing that exists?

I agree that there's overlap between strong friendship and romance, but I've experienced a pretty big difference between the two that has nothing to do with sex. I can't explain it, which is frustrating and means I'm not going to be very convincing to anyone, but in the end it doesn't really matter if anyone believes me. I guess I can live with being called a special snowflake. I've been called worse. Not that I'm accusing you of calling me that, it's just that even if it turns out we mostly agree, there are definitely still people who would say that.

Mostly I just don't really have a dog in this fight, and ultimately I don't really care what people identify as if it makes them happy.

In the end, I can't experience how you feel about people and vice versa.

Though with this secret specifically, I can see why it would rub some people the wrong way.

I wouldn't expect you to experience the way I feel about people since as far as I can tell your physical attraction and romantic attraction line up like they do for most people. I'm just unlucky enough to be weird in this and always wondering if it's worth it to go "well actually, for me..."

All I can say is that there's a big difference between how I feel about even my closest friends, my girlfriend, and the guys I've had sex with that points to distinctions between friendship, romance, and sex that a lot of other people don't believe exist in one form or another.

Fair enough, can't argue about how you feel :)
