I also love TBBT and I get the Community thing. If anything, the problems with Community piss me off more BECAUSE it's supposed to be a better show. I hate how they pass off the Dean's sexual harassment of Jeff as something funny, for example. If Jeff were a woman, a lot more people would be up in arms about it.

Yeah same, also Community have made me feel personally made fun of because of my sexuality, TBBT haven't done that. A show that constantly tells me it is supposed to be better than other shows, that it is supposed to represent minorities and then they fuck up I judge them a lot harder than a show that never said it would do it.

And yeah I hate how they show The Dean in general (making fun of his crossdressing, bisexuality), and how he stalks Jeff and it is used as comedic effect, or how Britta is pretty much a blonde stereotype but dressed up and I am supposed to be okay with that? And the fact that Annies drug addiction is just a laughing matter and I could go on and on. I expected a lot more from Community than I ever did from TBBT and TBBT is doing better than quite a few of the shows I watch both when it comes to representation and in general they make fun of everyone equally, not just some groups.
