I dunno, I feel like if asexuals did experience romantic attraction, then there wouldn't be the need for the label.

Asexual means "does not experience sexual attraction". That's it. It doesn't say anything about whether or not they experience romantic attraction.

If you experience sexual attraction, the romance tends to go along with it.

That doesn't imply it goes the other way, though.
