Don't you konw? Disney owns Pixar now. But, if I not mistaken, part of the deal was they let Pixar do their own thing.
ohh and I agree. ^^

That doesn't make them not separate entities though. Disney owns ABC, Touchstone Pictures, and Miramax. However, you wouldn't call "The English Patient," "Kill Bill" (both Miramax films), "Oh Brother Where Art Thou," "Dead Poets Society" (both Touchstone) or "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" Disney.

I know Disney slaps their name on all Pixar productions and I can even understand why they did that during Pixar's early films (the name value- would as many people have seen "Toy Story" without Disney's name on there), but honestly Pixar is the "name value" now (I mean who rushed out to see "Chicken Little?") and Disney comes across a bit more like they're leeching off their success. I'm willing to forgive all of this though, because John Lasseter involving himself with Disney is probably what's going to save their animation department. He's bringing back 2D!

Totally! I am very hopeful for the future now, because even if Disney officially owns Pixar, John Lasseter seems to have their animation department by the balls, and I feel only good things can come of this.

And I totally agree with you re: 11; I really don't get what the poster's problem was. My only conclusion is that the OP has a problem with aggressive women in general -- but if that's the case, why would he/she think Colette was supposed to be arole model? I don't understand. o_o I just thought she was kickass and sexy on her motorbike.

Yeah I know. Lasseter I think will be able to do it. I mean he also put a stop to those awful sequels.

I don't get how they say she's unrealistic. Actually she is, as emphasized in the film itself it's hard for a women to make it to the top in her career. She can't be soft or weak. That's unrealistic.

I just thought she was kickass and sexy on her motorbike.

Haha yes!
