Brownish and lavender/periwinkle/whatever you call that bluish color.

Yeah, periwinkle blue and brown-gold.

In fact, I'm fairly certain those are the -real- colors of that photo, sans optical illusion. I can't see it white or black at all.

It's a washed-out photograph, which people are interpreting according to context, or not, or misinterpreting.

This is one of those things, that as a photographer and a visual artist, I am bemused to see people so freaked out by.

White and gold. I don't get how people even see blue and black.

I can see how people could interpret the black as gold, since the poor quality of the photo turns parts of it brownish, but I cannot get my head around how anyone sees that vast swathe of blue as white.

I saw it as light blue and light brown. I guess I'm an outlier.

Rarely blue and black, white and gold most of the time. I watched it go from a faded blue/black to white/gold once.

If the makers of that dress, make a legit white/gold version it will probably sell like crazy because of this.

Blue and black (Confirmed that, someone found the seller for it) I really don't know how anyone could see that dark of a blue as white, but I guess that's why this thing is basically a meme now. It's fun and freaky.

~blue and black~

Everything else is a lie.

I immediately thought blue and black (with hideous lighting that makes the dress look washed out) and it hasn't changed.

I am however infinitely amused at how massive this thing has gotten.

White and gold, or possibly pale blue and a browny-gold.

Did anyone know it was supposed to be a blue & black dress before they looked at the original picture?

I ask because I saw the wedding picture before I saw the actual photo that's caused all the drama and now I can't help thinking that I see blue & black in that one because I know it's meant to be blue & black.

Anyone who did the same still see white & gold in the original?

Periwinkle and bronze.

Both.

I first saw it as white and gold, but later on, saw it as black and blue. Got to work this a.m., saw it on tumblr, back to white and gold...and as I scrolled down the pic, it went blue/black.

Just looked at it a few minutes ago--back to white and gold and then after a minute or so, blue/black in all the pics. I dunno either.

Light bluish from certain angle with gold. If I move my screen around I can see the blue but not the black.

It's super weird, but when I first saw the picture, the dress was white and gold. I showed both my mum and dad a picture online and they both saw it as blue and black.

Later, we were watching TV and they were talking about this dress and I saw the picture as blue and black, but they both saw the white and gold version!

So it changed colour for all three of us!
