I have NEVER complained about emotionless tough girls. Personally, I hate that female characters are only allowed to be cool badasses if they're slinky fuckpots or weepy-weeps with family problems. I want lady Dredds and lady Plisskens.

But my objections to Croft and such as are lost in a big shuffle, so I don't blame you for mixing me up with the rest of them. I've made the same mistake about other people's arguments.

I just take Joan's terrible taste in footwear as part of her characterization-through-costuming, like Peggy Olson's constant stream of schoolgirl-style jumpers, etc. Same thing with her Mets hat in the pilot.

N!S: I write Transformers fanfic.

N!S: I use the weird Latin-ish names for body parts (servo, glossa, etc.)

S!: I can’t bring myself to write them in the original story. I go through and find-and-replace them in after I’m done writing.

The whole scene was awkward because I don't think Data was mature enough to really emotionally get what he was doing and she was obviously unable to consent because her mind was all messed up by the virus. It was just meeeeeeeeeeeehhhhh all the way around.
