Text: People keep recommending this series as sex-positive fantasy, but I only made it halfway through the first book. Most of the sex was just the MC letting herself be abused by odious people she didn't respect. I know I'm not the target audience, since I don't get BDSM, but I figured it would at least make sex feel fun. (Also, I wasn't fond of the whole "safe words are for wimps" thing.)
