This SO MUCH. Basically all the BDSM stuff out there is dominant man/submissive woman (which I'm not into at all), if there's ever a dominant woman in any fiction she's an abusive bitch and any submissive men are creepy pervs. I just want something with a dominant woman/submissive man relationship that's portrayed in a fairly healthy and positive way.

Yes! I have a LOT of feelings about this, but lucky for you I'm writing this on a tablet so I won't be composing my thesis here. :). But It really, really bothers me that you hardly ever see dominant women in fictional mdia (or non-fiction for that matter) that are not portrayed as outright cartoons or are raped/tamed into submission by the end of the story.

For all the talk about more men being submissive than women, you sure don't see that in the media.

The only works of media that I've seen that feature dominant women who don't fall into that trap are Smilla in Peter Hoeg's novel "Smilla's Sense of Snow" and Stella Gibson in the tv series "The Fall." Oh, and I guess Madonna's entire lifetime of output. :)

Is this...is this a common trope?

I assume she means the "femme fetale" type

Read the Marketplace series by Laura Antoniou. Plenty of dominant women who stay dominant.
