Dialogue recorded for convenience =/= the character was supposed to be bi.

Except some Bioware employees confirmed he was supposed to be bi and it was cut because they ran out of time. They have romance lines about male characters, while Cass doesn't have romance lines for women, so no, it wasn't recorded for everyone for convenience.
