Oh, I don't expect either of them to get the nomination. The best I can hope for is Webb will be Clinton's running mate, and I can't imagine the two of them would get along.

But I can hope and dream, and inhabit an alternate universe where all my political dreams come true.*

I abhor the GOP, but if they ran Eisenhower, I'd consider voting for him. Maintained Truman's policies, built the national freeway system, and did his best to warn us about the military-industrial complex. Not bad.

Hell, he had real trouble getting it in 1952 (which is why we got Vice President Nixon).
