(Anonymous) 2015-02-28 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)What was the most flattering?
Least flattering?

Most flattering - UUUUHH. NONE? (Looks-wise) Kenshiro from the live action Fist of the North Star? Even though I was pissed at the comparison at the time, the dude who plays him is p hot, so. That's pretty much it, lol.

My mother compared me to Charlie Babbitt from Rain Man when it turned out that I was a hundred percent indifferent towards my newborn brother and actively avoided interacting with him (I've always disliked babies. I have no idea what to do when I'm around them. They're boring, annoying, and invasive). She actually recommended me to watch the film for precisely this reason. I did watch it and it did cause me to be supremely creeped out by her thought process.
Re: Fictional character comparisons
I mean, I get where they are coming from - Tsukishima is basically me at my most negative setting. Which doesn't happen often, but it happens. But most of the time I'm more like
Re: Fictional character comparisons
Most flattering was probably Katniss, because it was in the context of which one of us was most likely to survive a Hunger Games-type battle to the death.
Creepy dude telling me I looked like Arwen and then throwing an actual tantrum like a five year old when I wouldn't be his elf-bride or whatever was unflattering and embarrassing.
Sherlock and Bones I am neutral about. My friends are allowed to tease me, and I'm aware I'm not the best at making smalltalk. Weirdly flattered that people who have seen me burn toast and get locked out in my pyjamas still think I'm a genius. I'm a menace when I'm bored, too.

Re: Fictional character comparisons
Other than that I get called Sheldon surprisingly often considering that except being very neat we don't have that much in common, also see: Sherlock.
The one I actually like being compared to is Mycroft Holmes*, which happens once in a while, especially by my closer friends.
*who wouldn't like being compared to someone who runs the British Government from the shadows?
Re: Fictional character comparisons
(Anonymous) 2015-02-28 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)Most flattering: Drew Barrymore's version of Cinderella in the movie "Ever After". I was with my mom while we were visiting one of her friends. The movie came on tv while they were talking, then halfway through it my mom's friend started saying how much like her I looked and acted.

(She was laughing when she said it I swear!)

I got compared to Daria, but I felt very unflattered about that.
My dad says my sister and I are like the two old man muppets that make laugh at everyone's expense. I liked that one.
aaaand according to that same sister, I am the Rick to her Morty? I like that one too.

I don't watch it, but I've seen some gifs and that classmate showed me some Tina quotes, and said it was a positive comparison. I'm not sure how to feel about it since I think it's more because of my glasses than the things I say, but I said it was cool and I'm fine with it even though I don't exactly get it.
Re: Fictional character comparisons
(Anonymous) 2015-03-01 07:18 am (UTC)(link)Least flattering: Uchiha Sasuke
Bonus! Most confusing: Worf
