Re: Gamergate

One of the few way for a women to wield power in intensely misogynistic societies is to have power over other women. It is rare to get power over men, but at least they can tell other women what to do and mock other women (and some dissenting men, who by definition are unmanly). By oppressing other women they lift themselves off the bottom rung. Sure they can never reach the top societal rung, but they are no longer at the bottom either.

The same applies to Gamergate.
