20. Actually, most 4kids haters I've met ARE NOT anti dub.

They just hate the piss poor job 4kids does (Hello overworked, reused voice actors!) and what a FREAKISHLY LOW OPINION 4kids has on kids. Seriously? Erasing cultural references and making signs blank because they think KIDS ARE TOO DUMB TO UNDERSTAND THEM? Eliminating guns when most other kid shows you find on Cartoon Network or something made of slapstick, violent humor? The average G rated Disney movie has stuff that 4kids would deem "inappropriate" for kids. (Disney, BTW, is one of the better dubbing companies out there. They're the ones responsible behind the Miyazaki movie dubs and I think the Digimon dubs as well.)

And then there was the Sonic VA controversy that 4kids is at the center of, but I'm not going into that.

Disney didn't dub Digimon--it was Saban. ...Well, except, I think they're sort of responsible for the last two seasons. But the early ones on Fox Kids were before Disney bought Saban out.

That being said, I have very little respect for 4Kids anymore (although I think they did an OK job on the first season of Pokemon), and I'm pro-sub. So I do agree with you at least somewhat.

(And really, whoever Sonic would be, I'd have a hard time swallowing it. Jaleel White is Sonic to me, so I tend to be sort of 'eh' to other voices for him. XD;;)

Hello overworked, reused voice actors!

Unfortunately, that's true for many of the other studios. FUNimation and ADV are big 'offenders' in that. Geneon as well--just look at Yuri Lowenthal and Johnny Yong Bosch; they pretty much have a monopoly on all major roles within anime and video games being dubbed by certain studios. Not that I'm complaining, because they're great talent, but...

And at the same time, the actors get paid so little (especially comparing to other mediums) that they have to claw for as much work as they can get. "Overworked and underpaid," so they say.
