What did you use to do the reverse search with? I used to use tineye, but lately, no matter *what* i submit, it returns 0 results out of like - nine million pages searched or something. It's really annoying.

Text: WHY SOMETIMES I FEEL EMBARASSED TO BE A PART OF THIS FANDOM

warning!: the following secret contains sarcasm in form of detailed descriptions of obvious things.

(arrow point at a scene where Uhura and Spock are looking at each other. Uhura has her back to the camera and we can only see Spock's face)

THIS SCENE ACCORDING TO THE WRITERS: Spock briefly looks at Uhura as he's walking to his science station console. she smiles back at him happy that her boyfriend is back. end credits.

THIS SCENE ACCORDING TO SLASH FANS (a popular theory that is proposed as a fact by some): OMFG This is not a Spock/Uhura scene! If I pick the right eye blink it seems that he's looking at her forehead he's looking behind her! OMG he isn't looking at Uhura! he's looking back at Kirk! Spock you whore! *squee* WIN (arrows pointing at the preceding text) WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK?!!!

1) how can he look at Kirk or any other crew member if they're all BEHIND*** him???! O_o If he isn't looking at her he's looking at nothing cuz there's no one behind Uhura.
2) HOw can you prove from that pic alone that he's looking at Kirk anyway? and why not Chekov? or Sulu or Bones (They're all there)...or his own pretty reflection in the glass?! ;D

***Juding from the layout of the bridge why Spock passed by Uhura to begin with?
answer: Spock's science station is on his RIGHT not his left so he needs to pass by her to get to his own station. Uhura is in fact standing on the left side where her own station is and when Spock passes by her she just turns around to sit down in her own chair.

Is it clear enough? This secret is about all those fanon theories spread by fans that become popular even though they make no sense but the fans keep handing them to you like a fucking life-changing revelation

I slash too. Manipulating things in fanfiction is ok BUT stealing scenes from other couples using ridiculous theories is SAD. Calling the other fans delusional because according to you they like a scene that isn't really their even though the writers say so is dumb. I'm sick of this shit.

I made this secret after I saw an animation of this scene posted by a S/U fan at tumblr and a K/S fan reblogged it with the slash theory.

I remember this secret from when it was first posted! The colors are just as distracting now as they were then. :(

I actually have some sympathy with this secret (even if it is very old) because I was recently involved in a discussion of the scene in Agents of SHIELD where Skye's... father is about to brain Coulson, and Skye says 'Dad' (in order, I assumed, to distract him) and was told that, in fact, because she may have been vaguely sort of looking in Coulson's direction, she was {big reveal} actually calling Coulson Dad.

Obvious.

It's kind of amusing reading through the 300+ comments on the original secret. It was obviously before STID came out. I remember this though. Seems like there was a series of secrets submitted all around the same time period that seemed specifically designed to stir up S/U vs K/S wank. I wonder if it's the same anon trying to stir up old wank, or someone else just grabbing and submitting old secrets.
