NuBSG. It started off good, and it also provided a good alternative to previous SF narratives and tropes, but by the end of Season 3 it had just gotten so tedious. And it turns out that just avoiding common tropes is not actually enough on its own, and far too often that is all it had. It was a show that defined itself by what it wasn't rather than what it was, and I wish I'd never bothered to start with.
