I decided Friday night to watch "Galavant." It's 8 half-hour episodes and I heard fairly good things, so I thought "what the hell." I just finished it* and want to claw my face off. That ending, you guys. That ending. And what if it doesn't get another season? Aagh! I loved it, and now I'm in agony.

*Yes, I'm really slow when it comes to "marathoning" shows. My attention span usually tapers off after two hours.

I understand how you feel. At first I was okay if it wasn't going to get picked up for a second season but after that ending I NEED another season.

It was so much fun and it'd be great to have another 8 episode season, then can do it when Once is on hiatus again!

AYRT - I'm really liking this 8-episode hiatus-filler thing ABC had going on! I didn't watch "Galavant" live, but I watched "Agent Carter," and both worked really well as miniseries and to space out OUAT and AOS. I hope they decide to keep using that programming model.

Oh yeah I liked Agent Carter too! I felt like the storytelling was tighter with the 8 episode order.

I'd really love it if both Galavant and Agent Carter were renewed for another 8 episodes.

I both loved and hated that ending. Sure it was fun and delightful, but they just had to leave it on a cliffhanger. *sigh* A part of me wishes they would've wrapped things up nicely, another part thinks the ending was rad; I'll probably change my mind if it doesn't get renewed.

AYRT - I hate cliffhangers so much, and I heard "Galavant" had one but it wasn't enough to stop me. Alas. If it doesn't get renewed I hope against hope they can do like a mini-movie to wrap everything up.

Galavant was a good time regardless of the cliffhanger, though it is painful thinking we might be stuck with it. A movie would be an acceptable alternative, though.

I sort of love the ending on a meta level because everything about the show was absurd and ridiculous, so its fourth-wall-breaking cliffhanger was just the absurd cherry on top of the ridiculous cake.

Yea, the nielsen ratings line cracked me up! It was a solid ending, make no mistake; I'd even go so far as to say I enjoyed it more than most finales, but it will forever haunt me if this show doesn't get a second season.

absurd cherry on top of the ridiculous cake is the perfect way to describe it, too! (You've made me hungry though. Boo.)
