This, though I'd add you might also want to look at how much you care about plot/types of genres you enjoy since certain game genres tend to fall into certain settings. Ex. RPGS [which tend to be plot heavy] also tend to be more inclined to fantasy, or post apocalyptic stuff than say...fps games [which also tend to be much lighter on the amount of plot.]

Also, if you do go with a computer give Steam a try. You can find a lot of slightly older triple A games there for 20-ish bucks (US, and assume equivalent for other currencies) and they constantly have sales on both big budget and indie games.
