(Anonymous) 2015-03-02 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)As others in this thread have said, I personally believe that the best sex scenes get into the characters' heads and include thoughts and feelings. Yes, positioning and making sure people don't have an extra limb or are doing anatomically impossible things, but what really gets me (and apparently my readers) off is experiencing such an intense moment between two (or more) characters I love. It's also a great place to play with relationship dynamics. A friends-with-benefits relationship sex scene can be much different from a been-married-for-years sex scene.
I love reading smut. I love writing smut. It's just the way I am. :)
