I always see shit-tons of 'when he plays with your hair' or 'the best feeling is when someone plays with your hair' posts and ugh no. I hate that, leave my hair alone, I've got it looking how I want it to, do not fuck that up.

Also people tend to pull way harder than they think they do when petting/playing with hair, it's not fun or nice.

I really like it when someone brushes me hair (it just relaxes me like nothing else for some reason) but if they're just, like, twirling it around or something, I don't really get that

I don't even like that, I just flat-out hate people messing with my hair at all.

(But tbf my aversion to it comes from years of doing dance exams/shows where the ladies who did our hair were not gentle in any way whatsoever).

Seconded. My hair goes past my hips, which means it's always just a little bit tangled, so anyone trying to brush their fingers through it will inevitably end up tugging a knot or something, or just flat out fucking up my hairstyle.

I too have very long hair so it's easily tangled, other people running fingers through that? Not a good time.

(As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it, it called to me).

I really, really love having my hair played with, but only if we're already cuddling and I ask for it and it's done right, otherwise it's a big NOPE (if I believed in other lives, I'd say I was a cat, several times).

I kind of wish I liked it because it always seems so nicely intimate, but nope, every time someone I'm dating has tried it just hurts or annoys me instead.
