Re: The comics versus movies based upon them argument, I always find it interesting in terms of comic books that have been around forever. Because even the absolute *worst* comic book movie out there I bet I could find a comic issue I hated more then that.

Comics with such a long history and so many offshoots are just not consistent and vary greatly depending on who is writing and drawing it at the time. There are definitely times movies are off base but I think comic fans don't always give the movies enough credit.

I actually think that in general though people don't realize how challenging making a movie is. There's a lot more editing and red tape you have to go through then if you're writing a book or comic book. Just one example being in a book you can write anything you imagine, in a movie if you don't have the budget to create it, it's not happening.
