Text: It makes me feel like such a snob, but this list actively pissed me off. It was so clearly done by people who know almost nothing about animation. Most of the picks seemed to be either current shows with lots of buzz, 90s nostalgia or 'adult' cartoons automatically being considered superior to 'kid' cartoons regardless of actual quality.

Beaves and Butthead over Batman: the Animated Series? The Oblongs better than Over the Garden Wall? The Critic beating Cowboy Bepop? (Either consider anime for the whole list or leave it out all together, but don't try to convince me that Home Movies is anywhere near as good as Haibane Renmei.)
