So I got sexually assaulted coming home today. Some creep started hitting on me in McDonald's, wouldn't leave me alone and basically threatened me while being super friendly and asking me out, then followed me to the train station and hugged and groped me.

It was a couple hours ago and I'm okay. But I'm sitting home right now, my roommate isn't home, and I'm panicking. There is nowhere I can go, and my phone is broken so I can't call anyone. So I'm in the middle of a panic attack, and I'd really appreciate some funny gifs to distract my mind.

If you're up to going back to the train station (or even A train station, not necessarily THAT train station, though that would be best), go during the day (during commuter rush would be best), talk to a transit cop (ask the ticket collector if you can speak to one), explain what happened, give date and time, ask if they have it on the CCTV, and if they will help you out with filing a complaint with the metro cops. If you remember there being any witnesses, bring that up, too.

You should have told the manager at the MickeyD's. Assuming the manager wasn't a total idiot, they may have been able to disperse Creeper McCreeperson, post-haste. Best thing to do when this happens, find somebody else, anybody else, and just start talking to them. Sometimes it's a frying pan-into-the-fire situation (depends how sketch the station is) but nine times out of ten, it's not.

it's not generally helpful to tell someone what they should have done after the fact... something similar happened to me several years back and i "knew" what i should have done but i wasnt in the right state of mind at all

I don't actually mind. But at the time, I actually looked at the manager and tried to signal him. The guy was sitting right next to me and talking about how friendly was and at the same time ranting about various things and saying that he only got angry at dishonest people and just generally scaring me enough that I didn't want to actually say anything. I just figured if I got to the train I could get out of there.

And it was just outside the train station that he groped me, so I don't know if there are cameras there.

im sorry you had to endure that and im glad youre safe now but i understand it can be hard to feel safe after something like that.

Nope, but I'm on Skype with my mother, which has helped. No longer panicking. Also all the pretty pictures helped too.
